Friday was a whirlwind but so much fun for us! First, Hannah and I headed to the Rogers Activity Center with some friends to play in the splash pad. Hannah was not too sure what to think at first, but eventually loved the water! I can't wait to take her back now that she knows what to expect.
Watching the other kids, trying to figure it all out....
...LOVING being splashed and asking for more!
This is our friend, Sawyer. Hannah has NO idea what to think about him so they spend a lot of time just staring at each other. Katie, Sawyer's mom, and I laugh a lot when we are all together!
Then, Friday night, we headed over to some friends' house for a little cookout. Jason and I are loving getting to know the couples and families in our area. God has truly blessed us with some great friends! Hannah also loves all these people around...especially when she is the center of attention!
Hannah was super excited when one of our friends whipped out the bubbles!
Being so curious, Hannah admired Aubrey painting her nails. Oh, I fear the days of nail polish and play makeup are just around the corner for us!
Needless to say, Hannah was pretty tired after the busyness of our day and even stopped playing to come rest.
We are so blessed to have such fun families that we can live life with. We look forward to more cookouts, water play dates and any other days we have with friends!
So I've known for awhile that Hannah's hair is truly long enough for a ponytail but I've been putting it off for several reasons...
1) Hannah flinches anytime I even try to pull her hair back.
2) Hannah can keep a bow in for approximately 5 seconds if she knows it's there. 3) I don't want to admit that she is old enough/big enough to have a ponytail.
But...with the ridiculous heat and playing in the water so much, it has only made sense to put that hair in a ponytail. I did. And it does make me sad but I also smile because she is just so darn cute!
We spent the entire weekend celebrating Jason and it was SO fun! I had a few little surprises up my sleeve for the weekend and I think Jason really enjoyed his first father's day.
This is definitely my favorite picture of the weekend!
Hannah LOVES her Daddy!!!!!
This is the breakfast I made for Jason on Saturday morning as our "Daddy" celebration started early... And, yes, it is quite possibly the most unhealthy breakfast known to man but it was good, if I do say so myself! :)
On Sunday, Jason wanted to grill steaks, which is his absolute favorite thing to do!
Here's Hannah "helping" Daddy get the grill going :)
I was sneaky to get this picture...but Jason loves his grilling time so I thought it was only right to capture each part of what he loves doing, even though he does look a little lonely.
And this next picture is simply "just because" for Father's Day:
How can you NOT smile when you see this face?!? Our little character....
Jason, we are so thankful for you and the way you lead and love this family. God definitely blessed me when our paths crossed. Thank you for being the support and love Hannah and I need every single day. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
Jason and I got married in September 2009. We have 2 beautiful daughters, Hannah and Olivia. We live in Fayetteville and are learning how to live life as a family of four! Life is definitely crazy balancing work, family, home and parenthood but we love every second of it and thank God for all the many blessings in our lives!
